Strut of the Month
Well Strut of the Month must surely go to The Matildas who won the hearts of the nation finishing an incredible 4th in the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 after going into the tournament ranked 10th. Well done team! We can’t wait to see you continue to shine. It looks like Georgie Prespakis from Geelong had her Strut on, catching all the World Cup action.
Strut Fail of the Month
For everyone who loves a cosy fire and getting their Strut on during a fresh winter’s day, our fail goes to the Aussie weather… as the nation recorded its hottest Winter on record! Australia’s winter of 2023 which officially ended on August 31, was the warmest since official records began in 1910, with av. daily temperatures 1.53 degrees C above the long-term av. According to data from the BOM, every winter since 2012 has been warmer than the 30-year av. calculated 1961 to 1990. “Global heating and weather conditions that delivered sunny days were behind the record,” scientists have said.
Owning it
It’s hard to beat everybody’s favourite monster, Nessie who continues to own it year after year by avoiding detection in Scotland’s famous Loch Ness. During August, the largest new search initiative in 50 years recorded new underwater noises that they hoped could unravel the mystery that’s captivated the world for generations.
Nessie fans from around the globe descended on the area with drones, thermal scanners, boats with infra-red cameras and an underwater hydrophone, according to news.com.au Nothing yet!
Snaffle of the month
Our gold award must go to all of our customers who joined in the Snaffle 3rd Birthday celebrations. AFL Strut of the Month
Snaffle delivered the ultimate AFL fan experience. 4 times in fact! One lucky winner was die hard Western Bulldogs fan, Alison who was over the moon after winning 1 of our 4 Snaffle VIP AFL Experiences. Alison and her family attended the round 19 clash against Essendon at Marvel Stadium, where they enjoyed the full VIP treatment thanks to our friends at SEN and the AFLPA - which included a hospitality package and 4 tickets worth $1800! To top it all off, her team were victorious on the day, defeating the Bombers 13-12-90 to 7-7-49.
